US Nutrition Startup Berry Street Merges With Healthify as GLP 1 Demand Grows
U.S. nutrition technology company Berry Street has merged with India based health and fitness platform Healthify as demand for GLP 1 medications continues to reshape the weight management industry.
The companies announced the combination on Monday but did not reveal the financial terms of the transaction.
The move is aimed at bringing together Berry Street’s clinical network and Healthify’s technology driven approach to nutrition and fitness.
Following the merger, Berry Street founder Noah Kotlove and Healthify founder Tushar Vashisht will serve as co chief executives of the combined business.
The company will continue using the Berry Street name in the United States, while Healthify will remain the operating brand in India and several other international markets.
Healthify has secured more than $150 million in investment and provides users with a combination of artificial intelligence tools and human coaching for nutrition and fitness.
The company has also introduced programmes designed to support people using GLP 1 medications and says it has reached more than 45 million customers.
Its expansion into the U.S. market has been part of its broader effort to establish itself as a global digital health platform.
Berry Street operates a network of more than 2,000 clinics and provides insurance supported GLP 1 treatment alongside nutrition coaching and meal tracking services.
The company raised $50 million in a funding round last year backed by Northzone, Sofina and FJ Labs.
It says its services have reached more than 200,000 people through partnerships with major companies and platforms.
The merger is expected to combine Healthify’s artificial intelligence capabilities with Berry Street’s network of healthcare professionals to expand access to personalised metabolic care.
