Nvidia Revenue Doubles as AI Chip Demand Continues to Surge
Nvidia has reported another record-breaking quarter, with revenue reaching $96.2 billion, more than double its revenue from the same period last year.
The company also forecast approximately $108 billion in revenue for its next quarter, exceeding Wall Street expectations and signalling that demand for AI infrastructure remains exceptionally strong.
Nvidia’s data-centre business was the biggest contributor, generating about $89 billion in revenue, a 117% increase from a year earlier.
The company’s specialised processors are widely used by technology companies and AI developers to train and run advanced artificial-intelligence systems.
Chief Executive Jensen Huang said AI has reached an important turning point as companies move from experimenting with the technology to using it in real-world applications.
Nvidia expects its revenue to grow by about 70% in the fiscal year ending January 2028, showing how strongly the company expects demand to continue.
The results have also benefited Nvidia’s partners and suppliers.
Shares of several semiconductor companies rose after the announcement as investors anticipated continued demand throughout the wider chip industry.
Nvidia’s latest performance is significant because the company has become one of the clearest indicators of the health of the global AI business.
Its results suggest that technology companies are still willing to spend enormous amounts on computing infrastructure to expand their AI capabilities.
