Dimension Capital Launches Eight Hundred Million Dollar Investment Fund
New York based venture capital firm Dimension Capital has announced the launch of an eight hundred million dollar investment fund to support companies operating at the intersection of science and advanced computing.
The new fund represents a significant increase from its previous investment vehicle announced less than two years ago.
Founded in 2022 by former investment executives from Lux Capital and Obvious Ventures, the firm focuses on startups that combine biotechnology, artificial intelligence and software innovation.
Its founders believe the boundaries between scientific research and computing continue to disappear as technology advances. Dimension Capital has already backed several successful companies in the artificial intelligence and biotechnology sectors. Among its investments is Chai Discovery, a company developing open source artificial intelligence models for drug discovery that recently secured a major funding round at a multibillion dollar valuation.
The investment firm has also supported New Limit, an anti ageing biotechnology company co founded by Coinbase Chief Executive Officer Brian Armstrong.
The company recently completed another successful funding round, further strengthening Dimension Capital’s investment portfolio. Other notable investments include artificial intelligence company Anthropic and cloud computing startup Modal Labs.
The firm’s continued growth reflects increasing investor confidence in companies that combine scientific research with advanced computing technologies to solve complex global challenges.
