Cerebras CEO Predicts Future Where Every Home Could Have Personal AI Assistant
Andrew Feldman, chief executive officer and co founder of Cerebras Systems, believes personal artificial intelligence assistants could soon become common household technology.
Speaking at TechCrunch Disrupt 2026, Feldman said the development of AI appliances for homes may be closer than many people expect.
He pointed to the growing popularity of consumer AI assistants as evidence that the technology is gradually finding practical applications in everyday life.
Feldman predicted that future household AI assistants would operate partly on local devices and partly through cloud computing systems.
These assistants could gradually learn users’ preferences, understand their routines and perform tasks on their behalf.
He suggested that they could eventually access payment cards, purchase products and manage everyday responsibilities, provided users have adequate security protections.
According to Feldman, such technology could make a meaningful difference in how people organise their lives.
The prediction reflects growing interest in AI systems capable of completing tasks rather than simply answering questions.
Instead of requiring users to perform every step themselves, these assistants could help organise schedules, research information, manage purchases and coordinate personal activities.
However, their widespread adoption would depend on reliable performance, effective security measures and users’ willingness to grant them access to sensitive personal information.
Feldman also revealed that he already uses a collection of AI agents to manage aspects of his professional life.
These systems help review his calendar and gather information about people he is scheduled to meet, allowing him to prepare for conversations more efficiently.
He said he was particularly interested in the new possibilities created by artificial intelligence, especially tasks that were previously difficult or impossible to accomplish through traditional software.
As the head of a company specialising in AI computing infrastructure, Feldman said he preferred building the underlying platforms that enable other developers to create innovative consumer products.
Cerebras develops specialised computer systems designed to accelerate artificial intelligence workloads.
Feldman’s comments highlight the growing expectation that AI technology will move beyond computers and smartphones into everyday household devices, potentially transforming how people manage routine activities and interact with digital services.
