Pocket Secures $11 Million to Expand AI-Powered Note Taking Technology

Last Updated: June 30, 2026By

Pocket, a startup focused on AI-powered note-taking devices, has raised $11 million to accelerate the development of its products.

The funding round attracted support from Accel, Y Combinator, and ElevenLabs co-founder Mati Staniszewski.

Since introducing its compact recording device last year, the company says it has sold more than 130,000 units, reflecting growing demand for tools that simplify recording and organizing conversations.

The company’s flagship device is a slim recorder that attaches to the back of a smartphone and captures meetings, lectures, interviews, and other discussions.

It automatically converts speech into text and allows users to generate summaries, create action lists, build mind maps, and ask questions about recorded conversations through an AI-powered mobile application.

While basic transcription services are available without additional charges, advanced AI features are offered through an annual premium subscription.

Pocket’s founders believe many existing AI note-taking solutions focus mainly on virtual meetings while overlooking face-to-face conversations.

Their goal is to help professionals capture valuable information wherever they work, including offices, construction sites, hospitals, classrooms, and courtrooms.

The company also provides enterprise tools that integrate with widely used productivity platforms, enabling businesses to automate workflows and improve collaboration.

Although Pocket faces competition from established software developers and other hardware manufacturers, the company is confident that its combination of affordable hardware, intelligent software, and seamless integrations will strengthen its position in the growing AI productivity market.

Investors believe the increasing need for accurate documentation and automated organization of information will continue to create opportunities for innovative solutions like Pocket.
