YouTube Unveils New AI Tools, Studio Upgrades, and Live Features at Annual Creator Event

Last Updated: September 22, 2025By

YouTube has rolled out a series of new updates and features aimed at enhancing the creator experience, unveiled during its annual Made on YouTube event this week. The announcements included upgrades to YouTube Studio, improvements to YouTube Live, and fresh generative AI tools designed to help creators reach wider audiences and protect their content.

Among the standout features is a “likeness-detection” tool, which was previously available to a limited group of creators but is now moving into open beta. The feature enables creators to detect and flag unauthorized videos using their facial likeness, giving them greater control over identity misuse.
YouTube Studio, the hub for channel management and analytics, also received significant upgrades. These include:

⦁ An Inspiration Tab that suggests ideas tailored to creators.
⦁ Title A/B Testing to compare performance across different titles.
⦁ Auto-Dubbing Tools for lip-synced translations to expand global reach.
⦁ Ask Studio, an AI-powered assistant that provides personalized guidance and answers about accounts and features.

In addition, creators will now be able to collaborate with up to five others on a single video, with the content being distributed across all participating channels — a move aimed at boosting visibility and community-driven growth.

Podcasters are also set to benefit from the new updates, as YouTube introduces AI tools to promote shows, making discoverability easier in an increasingly competitive digital audio market.

The upgrades to YouTube Live promise to give creators more dynamic options to engage with their audiences in real time, continuing the platform’s effort to strengthen its live-streaming ecosystem.
