The Chief Executive Officer of Tinder, Faye Iosotaluno, has announced that she will be resigning from her position in July, as per a LinkedIn post.
In total, Iosotaluno spent nearly eight years at the company, which is owned by Match Group, and served in the position for less than a year.
She stated in her post that she was “particularly proud to have established and collaborated with an exceptional team.”
She stated that her future plans are “extremely personal.”
“My own ambitions are evolving in exciting, unpredictable ways, just as the consumer tech landscape is,” she wrote.
“I am drawn to replicate the progress I have made at Tinder, where diverse voices around the table make better and more impactful decisions, by supporting and building alongside the next generation of women leaders, founders, and investors, building upon the headway and lessons I have learned.”
In a separate post, Spencer Rascoff, CEO of Match Group, announced that he would assume responsibility for the Tinder team.
“I am appreciative of the time we have spent together in the past few months in order to ensure a seamless transition in anticipation of this news,” he wrote.”
I am enthusiastic about the opportunity to continue the development of the team with the exceptional leaders in place, and I am inspired by the momentum you have assisted in establishing as I assume the leader role.”
According to Bloomberg, Match Group is currently exploring methods to accelerate Tinder’s expansion.
Match Group announced a 13% reduction in personnel earlier this month in order to reduce costs and improve decision-making.
Bloomberg reported that Tinder was responsible for a significant portion of those reductions.
