TikTok is planning to broaden its TikTok Shop e-commerce platform to users in France, Germany, and Italy, according to Reuters.

In 2021, TikTok Shop was launched in the United Kingdom, and the company is now prepared to further expand its presence in Europe.

TikTok’s future in the United States is uncertain, despite the fact that TikTok Shop is available and experienced robust sales during the holiday season.

According to Reuters, TikTok has been seeking to incorporate a greater number of European-based vendors into TikTok Shop, as a significant number of dealers on the platform sell their products directly from China.

“We are currently collaborating with merchants in France, Germany, and Italy to ensure that their products are listed on the platform. TikTok Shop will be accessible to our TikTok users starting next Monday,” stated Jan Wilk, the director of operations at TikTok Shop UK, in an interview with Reuters.

According to Wilk, TikTok is interested in expanding its product selection and pricing on TikTok Shop, which is primarily recognized for its discounted prices. For instance, Wilk observed that a luxury products store located in the United Kingdom on TikTok Shop offers secondhand Birkin purses.
