Downdetector.com, a platform which monitors internet disruptions, has reported that thousands of US users were unable to access social media platform X, which was previously known as Twitter, on Saturday morning.

At approximately 8 a.m., users in the United States began reporting issues on DownDetector. ET on Saturday.

By 8:26 a.m., over 25,000 users in the United States had reported issues with the X platform on the mobile app and website.

Additionally, users reported difficulties with the server connection.

Additionally, hundreds of users in other countries and over 11,000 users in the United Kingdom have reported experiencing difficulties.

The numbers may not accurately represent the complete extent of X’s disruption, as DownDetector monitors user-reported issues.

Additionally, DownDetector reported that X users encountered difficulties on Thursday.

As per the X developer platform, the “incident is ongoing” and logins with X have been experiencing “downgraded performance” since Friday.

X, which is owned by Elon Musk, reported in 2024 that it has an average of approximately 250 million daily active users. Musk disclosed on March 28 that he had transferred ownership of X to xAI, his artificial intelligence startup.
