Tesla (TSLA.O), an electric vehicle manufacturer, announced that it would establish its inaugural “experience center” in Mumbai, India, on July 15.

This move brings the company one step closer to commencing sales in the country.

Reuters reported in March that the company, which is led by Elon Musk, had signed a lease agreement to establish its first showroom in Mumbai in order to commence sales in India.

The electric vehicle manufacturer had increased its recruiting efforts and was previously engaged in the search for showroom locations in Mumbai and New Delhi, India’s capital city, as part of its entry into the South Asian nation.
