Peach Payments, a digital payments infrastructure provider located in South Africa, has purchased PayDunya, a payroll technology firm based in Senegal, for an amount that has not been disclosed.

Peach Payments has made its debut in Francophone Africa with this strategic move, which is in line with the company’s larger expansion objectives across the continent.

Upon completion of the transaction, it is anticipated that the company would be better able to provide payment solutions that are seamless in both English-speaking and French-speaking African markets.

Peach Payments is able to provide a comprehensive platform to meet the specific requirements of Francophone businesses and customers thanks to PayDunya’s well-established presence in Senegal and its array of payment solutions.

It is important to note that this transaction is Peach Payments’ third acquisition since the firm completed its Series A investment round in 2023, which was worth $31 million.

This purchase highlights the company’s ambitious expansion strategy and dedication to promoting financial inclusion throughout Africa.
