Nigeria and Czech Republic Launch New Chamber of Commerce to Bridge Europe-Africa Trade
The Nigeria–Central Europe Chamber of Commerce (NCECC) has officially launched, aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation, trade, and investment between Nigeria and a bloc of Central European countries. The chamber was unveiled at an event hosted by the Czech Embassy in Nigeria.
Czech Ambassador Tomáš Výprachtický affirmed his country’s commitment to deepening economic relations, highlighting Nigeria’s vast human and natural resources and strong potential in engineering and technology. The NCECC, which was registered in August 2025, operates across at least five countries and is mandated to bridge European technical expertise with Africa’s resources and growing markets.
According to NCECC President Paschal Onyemaechi, the organisation will focus on promoting bilateral trade, encouraging investment, and supporting educational mobility and technology transfer. The chamber plans to roll out initiatives, including a project aimed at reducing postgraduate student costs through new arrangements with Czech institutions, underscoring its focus on both commercial and human capital development.
