HONOR, a technology company, is making an investment in the youth of South Africa.

This week, it provided pupils with over R300,000 in digital devices. The objective of the initiative is to enhance the digital capabilities of underprivileged communities.

The “Code with HONOR” program initiative is supported by the donation. Laptops, tablets, and smartphones will be distributed to adolescents for educational purposes.

The project implementation also includes special computing courses.

According to the administrators of HONOR, each child is entitled to a digital opportunity. Talent is unjustly restricted in the absence of instruments and training.

They aspire to encourage more substantial investments in the technology sector as a result of this action.

The primary target demographics are rural and township communities. Currently, these regions exhibit some of the lowest rates of technology access. It is anticipated that the devices will immediately alter the possibilities of education.

Coding, design, and problem-solving will be taught to students in the program. Mentors from all over South Africa will be assigned to them. Preparing them for a global digital workforce will be achieved through workshops.

HONOR also stated that this is only the initial phase. Other provinces and countries will receive donations in the near future. The establishment of a tech-driven Africa will necessitate the participation of all stakeholders.
