Apple Accelerates Development of AI Wearables Amid Industry Race
Apple is reportedly ramping up work on a new lineup of AI-powered wearable devices as competition intensifies across the technology sector.
Recent reports suggest the company is developing three interconnected products designed to integrate closely with the iPhone ecosystem.
Among them is an AI-enabled wearable resembling a small pendant, roughly the size of a tracking tag, equipped with cameras and designed to be worn on clothing.
The device would offer hands-free AI assistance, signaling Apple’s broader push into ambient computing.
Apple is also accelerating development of its long-rumored smart glasses, which are expected to feature high-resolution cameras and advanced artificial intelligence capabilities.
This places the company in direct competition with other technology firms pursuing similar products.
Production of the smart glasses could begin as early as December, ahead of a possible public release in 2027.
In addition, Apple is reportedly working on new AirPods with expanded AI functions.
All three devices are expected to rely heavily on Siri as a central interface and are designed to work seamlessly with the iPhone.
While Apple has not officially commented, the smart glasses are described as more premium and feature-rich than the other wearables.
