Amazon Plans Multi-Billion Investment in Europe
Amazon has announced plans to invest billions of dollars in Poland over the next several years as it expands its logistics and technology infrastructure in Europe.
The company said it intends to invest about 23 billion zlotys, equivalent to more than six billion dollars, between 2026 and 2028.
The investment will focus on improving Amazon’s distribution network, cloud services and digital infrastructure in the region. Poland has become an important logistics hub for e-commerce operations serving both Western and Eastern Europe.
Company executives say the expansion will create thousands of jobs and strengthen the company’s ability to deliver goods more quickly to customers. Amazon continues to invest heavily in automation and technology to improve efficiency in its warehouses.
The investment reflects growing demand for online shopping and digital services across Europe. E-commerce companies are racing to build larger distribution networks to keep up with rising consumer expectations.
Analysts say the expansion also highlights how technology companies continue to invest aggressively despite global economic uncertainty. Large infrastructure investments allow firms like Amazon to strengthen their long-term market position.
