The African Leadership Magazine has announced the recipients of the 2025 African Business Leadership Awards (ABLA), which honor entrepreneurs and executives who are instrumental in the continent’s economic growth.

The awards, which were announced on May 31, are intended to acknowledge exceptional leadership, innovation, and sustainable business practices.

Ntombi Felicia Msiza, CEO of Raubex Group Ltd in South Africa, and Mohamed Ould Bouamatou, Founder and Chairman of Bouamatou Société Anonyme in Mauritania, are among the top honorees this year.

For their respective contributions to financial inclusion and infrastructure development, the two were jointly conferred the title of “African Business Leader of the Year.”

Leaders in energy, agriculture, and telecommunications were also recognized as notable awardees.

The selection panel prioritized the capacity of these business executives to generate employment opportunities, foster community development, and shape policy, in addition to their profitability and expansion.

The editorial team of the magazine has determined that the recipients of this year’s award “represent the type of leadership that Africa requires at this time.”

The ABLA awards have become a barometer for responsible and visionary business leadership across the continent, increasing in significance over the years.

The 2025 edition conveys a clear message: African businesses are not only expanding, but they are also becoming global models of innovation and resilience.
