Science Corporation Prepares Human Trials for Advanced Brain Interface Technology

Last Updated: April 15, 2026By

Science Corporation, a neurotechnology startup founded by former Neuralink executive Max Hodak, is preparing to begin human trials of its brain-computer interface technology. The company has appointed leading neurobiologist Dr Murat Günel as a scientific adviser to guide the process.

The upcoming trials will involve implanting a sophisticated sensor into the human brain. This marks a major step toward merging biological systems with digital technology. Unlike conventional methods, the company is developing a biohybrid interface that integrates lab-grown neurons.

Founded in twenty twenty-one, Science Corporation recently raised two hundred and thirty million dollars in a Series C funding round, bringing its valuation to one point five billion dollars. Its flagship product, PRIMA, is currently being tested as a treatment for vision loss caused by macular degeneration, with plans for expansion in Europe pending regulatory approval.

Beyond medical applications, the company envisions broader uses for its technology. By enabling direct communication between the human brain and computers, the interface could unlock new sensory experiences and enhance neurological capabilities.

Despite the promise, the company acknowledges ongoing challenges, including regulatory requirements and technical refinements. Initial trials will focus on simpler sensor systems, with plans to advance toward more complex biohybrid integrations as research progresses.
