Palmpay Partners With Police to Combat Cybercrime, Urges Sectoral Collaboration
Digital banking platform, PalmPay, has identified cross-sectoral collaboration as the most critical defense mechanism against the rising menace of cybercrimes in Nigeria’s fast-growing digital economy.
The firm demonstrated this commitment by supporting the Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Centre (NPF-NCCC) during its recent Cybersecurity Awareness Walk held in Abuja.
This event was part of the activities marking the 2025 Cybersecurity Awareness Month, held under the theme: “Secure Our World.”
Mr. Chika Reginald Nwosu, the Managing Director of PalmPay, emphasized the need for continued joint efforts across law enforcement, regulatory bodies, and the private sector to build a safe and secure payment ecosystem for all Nigerians.
“We commend the NPF-NCCC for its proactive leadership in driving cybersecurity awareness,” said Nwosu.
“At PalmPay, we are committed to supporting initiatives that promote digital safety and foster trust in Nigeria’s growing digital economy.”
The partnership aims to boost public awareness on cybersecurity, financial fraud prevention, and safe online practices, underscoring PalmPay’s dedication to consumer protection and fraud prevention.
