ChatGPT Users Transmit 2.5 Billion Prompts Regularly
Axios was informed by OpenAI that ChatGPT receives 2.5 billion prompts from global users each day. Approximately 330 million of these are originating from consumers in the United States.
These figures demonstrate the extent to which OpenAI’s primary product is becoming ubiquitous.
Alphabet, the parent company of Google, does not disclose daily search data. However, it recently disclosed that Google receives 5 trillion queries annually, which equates to an average of just under 14 billion daily inquiries.
Similar tendencies have been identified by independent researchers. Neil Patel of NP Digital estimates that Google receives 13.7 billion searches daily, while research conducted by SparkToro and Datos, two digital marketing companies, suggests that the figure is approximately 16.4 billion per day.
However, ChatGPT has demonstrated remarkable accelerated growth. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman stated in December that ChatGPT receives more than one billion queries daily from users.
The company’s search volume has more than doubled in approximately eight months, according to Altman.
