Meta’s Vice President of Product for Generative AI, Connor Hayes, has been appointed as the new director of Threads.
Adam Mosseri, the CEO of Instagram, has been responsible for Threads up until this point.

However, the platform has evolved beyond its status as a mere byproduct of Instagram, necessitating the addition of new leadership.

According to market intelligence provider Similarweb, Threads’ mobile daily active user (DAU) numbers are rapidly approaching those of X, despite the fact that the platform was only launched in 2023.

At present, Threads has an average of approximately 115 million DAUs on mobile, while X’s DAU numbers amount to approximately 132 million.
