Cassava Technologies, a technology company that operates across Africa, has revealed that it intends to invest up to $720 million in Africa’s first artificial intelligence (AI) factory.

This investment will be made in conjunction with Nvidia Corporation.  Among the most important African markets, the project intends to implement accelerated computing and artificial intelligence software.

These markets include South Africa, Egypt, Nigeria, Kenya, and Morocco.  In addition to stimulating innovation and providing support to a variety of industries, including healthcare, banking, and education, it is anticipated that this project would considerably improve the capabilities of artificial intelligence on the continent.

As a result of this collaboration, global IT firms are showing a rising interest in investing in Africa’s digital infrastructure and the continent’s potential to become a hub for technological growth.
