Microsoft’s keynote, which was centered around Copilot, was disrupted by a protester on Friday afternoon, who drew attention to the company’s purported collaboration with the Israeli military.

The protester remarked, “You are to be ashamed.” “You assert that you are committed to the positive use of AI; however, Microsoft provides AI weapons to the Israeli military. As a result, the entire company is implicated in the crime.”

The demonstrator interrupted Microsoft Head of Consumer AI Mustafa Sulyman’s portion of the keynote, and he responded, “I hear your protest, thank you,” on multiple occasions.

The Associated Press reported in February that an Israeli military program had employed advanced AI models from Microsoft and OpenAI, a close collaborator of Microsoft, to identify bombardment targets during the most recent conflicts in Gaza and Lebanon.

According to reports, the deaths of numerous young girls and their grandmother were the result of a single erroneous bombardment.

The alleged involvement of Microsoft has been the subject of numerous protests, including those organized by the company’s employees.
